Revitalising bodily energy

Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of hair-thin needles into specific points on the body to elicit a healing response. We use sterilised and disposable needles so thin that most people feel nothing more than a slight tingling sensation when they are inserted.

According to TCM theory of meridian, the acupuncture points (acupoints) are mostly located along the meridian through which bodily energy flows. Acupuncture moves this energy by techniques of ascending, descending, reinforcing, reducing, warming and clearing to create the desired response.

Acupuncture stimulates electromagnetic signals within the body, which activate the flow of pain-killing biochemicals such as endorphins. It also mobilises immune system cells to specific sites that are injured or vulnerable to diseases.
